Porsche vs. Ferrari: Certified Pre-Owned Program

The Porsche Certified Pre-Owned Program offers greater warranty coverage than the Ferrari CPO program. Porsche Certified Pre-Owned vehicles come with a 2-year/unlimited-mile warranty after the new vehicle warranty comes to an end, while Ferrari offers a 1-year/unlimited-mile CPO warranty. Porsche CPO models also go through a more stringent inspection, ensuring you a top quality vehicle. Ferrari models must pass a 101-point inspection, and Porsche CPO vehicles must pass a 111-point inspection.

Porsche 911 Turbo S vs. Ferrari Portofino

Starting at $214,533, the Portofino replaces the California T; it comes with a 591-hp 3.9L twin-turbo V8. Starting at $190,700, the less costly 911 Turbo S gets a 580-hp 3.8L twin-turbo 6-cylinder. Clearly, the Portofino is more powerful — but the 911 Turbo is faster. Ferrari claims the Portofino has a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.5 seconds; the 911 Turbo S races to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds with the Sport Chrono package.

Porsche Panamera Turbo vs. GTC4Lusso

Starting at $302,650, the Ferrari GTC4Lusso AWD features a 680-hp 6.3L V12 and a 7-speed automatic transmission. Starting at $151,500, the Panamera Turbo AWD is powered by a 550-hp V8 and an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. True, the Panamera Turbo is less powerful, but it has its own set of advantages. Not only is it half the price of the GTC4Lusso, but it’s also more efficient; the Panamera Turbo earns 18 mpg city/25 mpg highway vs. the GTC4Lusso’s 12 mpg city/17 mpg highway rating.

Porsche 911 GT2 RS vs. Ferrari 812 Superfast

The 812 Superfast is one of the world’s most powerful cars. Starting at $315K, it comes with a 789-hp V12 engine. Starting at $293,200, the 911 GT2 RS is no slouch; its 6-cylinder engine produces 690-hp and a superior 553 lb-ft of torque. Both get 7-speed automatic transmissions and RWD, but the 911 GT 2 is more fuel-efficient, earning 15 mpg city/21 mpg city vs. the Superfast’s 12 mpg city/16 mpg highway rating.
