How Soon Can You Take the Macan or Macan S for a Test Drive?
Since February, the 2018 Porsche Macan remained hidden, while its larger sibling, the Cayenne, starred in spyshots of the new Porsche lineup. Recently, all that changed! The Macan was photographed during testing, and looks to be in line for new stylings and fixtures. As it stands, you can expect a brand-new experience when you take the Macan or Macan S for a test drive next year!
Anticipated Style and Feature Changes
The spyshots captured the Macan with camouflaged headlights, indicating changes to the headlights’ inner graphics, along with the front bumper and taillights. As for power and performance, the Macan will feature a similar selection of powertrains, with the exception of a plug-in hybrid version that’s slated for early 2018.
The auto world is abuzz with speculation that the new Macan SUV’s taillights will adopt the Panamera Sedan’s signature LED strips. Of course, that’s not the only Panamera exclusive experts predict. The Macan interior could also get the updated infotainment system and touch-responsive surfaces found inside the hatchback sedan.
Keeping in line with a four-year cycle, it’s expected that Porsche will release the Macan to American markets in 2018—but as the 2019 Porsche Macan. Although its release date is still months off, we’re confident taking the Macan or Macan S for a test drive will be well worth the wait.
