Fun in the Sun: Fremont Festival of the Arts

Summer is in full swing, and what better way to celebrate it than attending the Fremont Festival of the Arts this August 6-7, 2016 from 10 AM – 6PM. This year the festival will be celebrating 33 years of fun in the sun with food, drinks, live music, shopping and activities for the kiddos.

Get Ready to Shop!
Artist Booths
The festival will feature over 600 artistic booths offering unique handmade items such as jewelry, paintings, drawings, clothing, and furnishing.

Business Marketplace
Visit the Business Marketplace to learn more about local healthcare facilities, schools, animal shelters or home remodeling. Business market place participants will have the opportunity to win fun prizes, giveaways and receive special deals and promotions. Participating businesses include: Sears Home Services, iFly indoor skydiving, Tri-City Health Center, Solar City and many more.

Gourmet Marketplace
Get your taste buds ready for the sensation at the Gourmet Marketplace. With ingredients and condiments ranging from oils and vinegars, spice blends and unique rubs you’ll definitely find something great to take with you for your homemade meals. There something to delight everyone in the family. You may even get tempted by the various handmade pastas and delectable desserts.  Participating business include: J.R Watkins, Golden State Snacks, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Nature’s Candy , Papa Joe’s Spicy Organics and many more.

Get Ready to Eat!
Fremont Festival of the Arts has partnered with several non-profit organizations to offer great food booths this year! All of the commercially run food booths will benefit the Fremont Community Foundation; therefore you can eat and give back at the same time! Don’t forget to visit the food trucks, as Food Truck Mafia will be bringing you the most popular food trucks in the Bay Area.

Non-profits include: Tri-City Ecology Center, Fremont American Little League, and Tri-City Band Corps just to name a few.

Companies benefiting the Fremont Community Foundation include: Aniki’s Sushi Restaurant and Sake Bar, The Counter, El Patio Original Mexican Restaurant, Sajj Mediterranean and many more.

Get Ready to Drink!
There’s always time for wine! Wineries throughout the Bay Area will be offering quite the impressive type of wines. Grab a branded wine glass for $6 and enjoy additional tastings from featured wineries and vineyards for $5.

Participating wineries and vineyards include: Beringer, Cupcake Vineyards, Mondavi Family Vineyards

Get Ready to Dance!
Nothing sets the atmosphere better than great live music! This year, the Fremont Festival of Arts will include performances on two stages throughout the event. Offering performances from various genres including rock, blues, Latin and many more, you’ll definitely find an artist to enjoy.

Get the Kids Ready to Play!
Make sure to take the children to Kid City where there will be magicians, jugglers, carnival rides, and performances that will make your child’s face light up with joy.
