Summer is around the corner, the weather is beautiful, and it so happens to be Great Outdoors Month!  So get your gear on and head outside to enjoy a hike, a bike ride, or go fishing. Need some ideas of spots with outdoor activities throughout the Bay Area? We’ve got you covered! Take a look at the list we’ve compiled with parks and lakes that include fishing, hiking, boating and many more activities you can do to participate in some festivities. Central Park (Lake Elizabeth)

Grab your fishing rod and bait to head over to our local Lake Elizabeth for some fishing! Enjoy the scenery as you have a nice picnic or as you fish. Central Park and Lake Elizabeth is set on 450 acres with an 83 acre lake.

Quarry Lakes Regional Park

Filled with beautiful water-oriented recreation, Quarry Lakes Regional Park offers several activities such as picnicking, boating, fishing, and admiring of wildlife. The park allows sailboards, stand-up paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, and electric boats.

Golden Gate Park

The stunning Golden Gate Park is the filled with flowers, meadows, lakes, and areas to enjoy a pleasant afternoon by having a picnic, cruising on Segways, biking, horseback riding, or golfing.

John McLaren Park

McLaren Park is San Francisco’s second largest park next to Golden Gate Park.  This 312 acres park includes more than 7 miles of walking trails, a golf course, biking trails, and scenic meadows.

Vasona Lake County Park

This 150-acre park is one of the most popular parks in Santa Clara County. Spend the sunny day admiring nature, paddle boating, hiking, or fishing. The activities to do here are countless!

Los Gatos Creek Park

With 45 acres of lawn, Vasona Lake County Park is filled with scenic locations throughout the park. Bicyclist, runners, and hikers enjoy the Los Gatos Creek multiple-use trail which begins at Lexington Reservoir and follows the Los Gatos Creek for nearly 9.5 miles through Los Gatos, Vasona Lake County Park, Los Gatos Creek County Park, and the cities of Campbell and San Jose. The park offers paddle boating or row boating also.
