2021 Porsche 911 Turbo: What to Expect

The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe and Cabriolet offer sports cars with a blend of high-end features, as well as speed and power once just reserved for the race track. Outfitted with new packages, stronger specs, and faster times, the Porsche 911 Turbo has drivers waiting with bated breath. Performance & Handling

The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo updates both performance and handling with an eight-speed PDK transmission with specific Turbo internals and calibration, symmetrical VTG turbochargers with electrically controlled bypass valves, piezo fuel injectors, and redesigned charge air cooling system. The Porsche Traction Management (PTM) active all-wheel drive system is able to transfer more power to the front wheels than ever before. Other new features include:

  • PASM suspension system
  • PASM Sport suspension system
  • Sport Exhaust System
  • Updated brake system
  • Sport & Lightweight Packages

Updated Porsche 911 Turbo Specs

From size to power to acceleration, the Porsche Turbo has gotten a notable makeover for the 2021 model year with new specs like:

  • Maximum of 572 hp– up 32 hp over previous iteration
  • 911 Turbo Coupe Acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds– 0.2 seconds faster than last model
  • 911 Turbo Cabriolet Acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds– 0.2 seconds faster than last model
  • Body of the new 911 Turbo models is 1.8 inches wider
  • Additional 1.65 inches of front track width
  • New 20-inch 255/35 tires– up from 245/35 previously
  • Brake rotors now measure 408 mm in diameter (28 mm larger) & 36 mm thick (increase of 2 mm)

New Package Features

The addition of the Sport and Lightweight packages open Menlo Park drivers up to new features such as:

Lightweight Package (Coupe)

  • Decreased vehicle weight by 66 lbs
  • Full bucket seats and deleted rear seats
  • Reduced sound insulation

Sports Package

  • Includes elements of SportDesign Package
  • Additional applications in Black
  • Carbon Fiber elements
  • Exclusive Design clear tail lights
